31st Annual Milton Harvest Festival PARADE

Dear Sponsor,

The Harvest Festival parade committee has been hard at work planning for this year’s 31st Annual Milton Harvest Festival Parade.

BANDS scheduled to appear are: Zafar Grotto String Band, Danville Community Band, Montandon Legion Band, Repaz Band, Nittany HIghland Pipe Band, Penn York Highlanders, Commonwealth String Band, and the 46th PA Band. Negotiations with several other bands are on going and will be announced when contracts have been signed.

A contingent of high school marching bands lead by our own Milton High School Marching Band have been invited to participate. Many of them cannot accept our invitation until early August when the 2007-2008 school schedules are finalized. However, after a 16 years absent from the Harvest festival schedule, a TOURNAMENT of BANDS competition, sponsored by the Milton Area Band Boosters and the Harvest Festival Committee, will be held that Saturday evening at Milton High School Alumni Stadium. The high school bands are being invited to participate in both the parade and the competition.

Your contributions are needed to help bring these quality organizations to our community and to continue the tradition of the Milton Harvest Festival Parade being one of the areas premier parades. Every MAJOR BAND SPONSOR will have a banner carried before a band during the parade. ALL SPONSORS will be listed in the parade line-up program produced by the Standard Journal and the Daily Item and also will be announced from the reviewing stand during the parade at various times. Since over 5,000 plus people have annually watched the parade, this is very effective per person advertising rates. Build goodwill by being a band sponsor.
